ICBC approved for motor vehicle accidents. Please check your individual insurance for coverage.

My role as an Athletic Therapist in this multidisciplinary clinic is pivotal for patients to transition from passive care to active care. Individualized exercise prescription was used to create postural integrity through proper muscle sequencing and activation, which ultimately restores coordination and strength. This was relevant to maximize performance, ensure a safe return to work and play as well as prevent injuries.

Beyond exercise prescription and education, my scope of practice includes:
• Helping to prepare and educate clients both mentally and physically
• Providing manual therapy and applying strapping and taping techniques to provide support
• Assessing whether athletes can return to play
• Examining patients and treating injuries
• Create supportive nutritional and lifestyle strategies
• Collaborating with Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and other health-care practitioners on
injury prevention and rehabilitation programmes.

Tanner’s love of an active lifestyle, and his own fair share of sports-related injuries, led him to train as an RMT.

Tanner strongly believes that effective massage therapy can actually lead to injury prevention, as well as rehabilitation.

Specialising in sports related massage treatments for people of all body types, his goal is to relieve your pain and empower you to maintain an active lifestyle.

Luke first came to acupuncture and Chinese Medicine over a decade ago while seeking to improve all aspects of his health. The wonderful outcomes inspired him to make a change and share the gift of this medicine with others. Luke aims to improve the quality of life of those he works with. He draws on the experience of his own healing journey to help others navigate through the blockages they may encounter on their path to wellness.

Luke’s active and adventurous lifestyle has provided him with a strong familiarity of injury recovery and rehabilitation. This is complimented by a keen interest in pain management informed by the bio-psycho-social approach. In addition to his education, Luke’s background as a professional ski instructor, a competitive freestyle skier, and a participant in a wide variety of other sports have given him a practical foundation in biomechanics.

Prior to completing his acupuncture studies at Pacific Rim College in Victoria BC, Luke completed a 3-year program in Chinese Medical Qigong. He has received additional training in Balance Method acupuncture, myofascial needling, and modern pain science. Luke’s practice has been influenced by the Chinese martial arts, somatic therapy, Daoist and Buddhist philosophy, and the works of Carl Jung. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering which he finds balances his more esoteric studies. In his spare time, Luke loves cooking, playing soccer, and spending time with his partner and their dog, Zula.

** Please note- April 15th and 16th, Matt will have a locum covering. Acupuncture works on the body in a way that is both specific and generalized. It can target muscle aches and pains directly, providing instant relief. It can also regulate the nervous systems, transitioning the body to move more into the calm, restful state that stimulates healing. This generalized calm that comes over the body during an acupuncture treatment is what allows our systems to “reset” in a way. Our bodies know how to fix themselves, but if they are not in a relaxed state the opportunity does not arise for this healing to occur. This is why getting acupuncture regularly benefits specific concerns, but also enhances our health in the bigger picture.

I saw how well Traditional Chinese Medicine, and more specifically acupuncture, provided a medicine that promoted balance in an overstimulated culture. Understanding the dynamic healing potential of acupuncture led me to pursue this field of medicine.

I completed my education in Victoria, BC at Pacific Rim College, a leading school of natural medicine in North America. After completing my studies, I remained at the college as a faculty member, teaching courses in Chinese diet therapy and ethics. With the arrival of our son earlier this year, my wife and I decided it was time to move closer to the outdoor lifestyle that we craved, and the Comox Valley was the perfect fit!

At this time, Dresden is only accepting new patients for Pelvic Health treatments. Please note Dresdens practice is dedicated to women’s health and therefore exclusively treats women only.

Dresden is a 2012 graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria. She spent the first 8 years of her career practicing in Victoria, in naturopathic, and multidisciplinary clinics, treating a variety of different people. In 2019, Dresden relocated back to her hometown in the Comox valley and began practicing entirely on women. Dresdens area’s of focus, are pelvic health, and nervous system support.

Dresden takes special interest in supporting women with pelvic discomfort and disfunction, and has experienced the benefits of massage therapy both personally and professionally on pelvic health. Dresden uses a variety of different treatment techniques to increase pelvic function, and decrease pelvic pain. She addresses the body from a biopsychosocial lens’s, considering how your environmental and emotional experience, may be contributing to your physical presentation of symptoms. Massage therapy can be extremely helpful in treating pelvic floor disfunction, including but not limited to the following: -Pain with menstruation -Prolapse and associated discomfort -Painful bladder syndrome or Interstitial Cystitis -Post operative scar discomfort from cesarean or abdominal surgery -Digestive discomfort -Sacral or Coccyx pain -Generalized or specific pelvic discomfort

At the core of all of Dresden’s treatments, is nervous system support. Dresden is also trained in Craniosacral Therapy, and subscribes to the therapeutic philosophy that the body often holds unresolved “stuff”, that can manifest into physical discomfort. When the body feels safe, and tended to, we can begin to address these stuck areas, to help facilitate in the process of letting go. She treats mostly in silence, to encourage inner presence, and uses a medium style of pressure, to allow the body to gently unwind and release tension. Dresden has an informed treatment approach, which is also guided by her intuition, into an application that is attentive, therapeutic, and nurturing.

In addition to being an RMT who is trained in the Upledger method of Craniosacral Therapy, Dresden has also taken her yoga teacher training and has attended many mindfulness and meditation workshops.

At this time, Dresden is only accepting new patients for Pelvic Health treatments. Please note Dr... Read More

Abby is a 2024 graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, recently registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia, and looking to build her practice as a Registered Massage Therapist here in the Comox Valley.

Though she is new to the field of massage, she is not new to health care.

Abby completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2014 and has current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. She has eight years of nursing experience behind her that allows her to view people in a holistic way, treating the person and not just the injury.

Her massage practice is led with intent, ensuring to work with the individual to create a treatment plan that is acceptable to both parties. She likes to blend therapeutic work into a relaxation approach with the use of myofascial techniques throughout her treatments. Abby is looking to work with people from all walks of life as she continues to understand what she can offer as a massage therapist, though she does like to focus on specific work with muscle adhesions and soft tissue restrictions throughout the body to improve functional movement.
